Perched above a shop in the leafy Sheffield suburb of Nether Green, Rafters has been plying its trade for a good many years and is still a crowd-puller (note that the entrance is tucked away discreetly round the corner from Oakbrook Road). The many-sided, first-floor dining room is defined by oak beams and rafters, exposed brickwork, hand-blown glass lights from Milan and a predominance of russet colours.
The kitchen cares about supplies and buys locally where possible.
