The Red Lion Review

The Red Lion is a very smart rural pub dating back to 1786 on the Henley Road in Hurley. The rustic interior is very welcoming with low beams, candles and a series of rooms, some of which feature a cosy log fire. New owner is chef Simon Pitney-Baxter, who has an impeccable CV having worked at Michelin starred L'Enclume in Cartmel, Cumbria and more recently at the fine dining pub The Carnarvon Arms in Burghclere.

Simon is a passionate supporter of local suppliers and a vast amount of specials and vegetables featured daily, are from local farms or Waltham Place Estate.
