There aren't too many chefs who can boast that they have cooked for Tina Turner, Bryan Adams and the Bee Gees, but John Quigley did just that before deciding to get out of celeb-land and move back to his home patch in Glasgow. The end result is Red Onion – a casual, city-centre venue serving eclectic modern food right through the day.
For breakfast, there are croissants, rounds of toast and rolls packed with Ayrshire bacon, eggs or sausage.
