As you might guess from the name, this agreeable restaurant is conveniently located on the north banks of the River Ness opposite the Greig Street footbridge. Inside it is cosy and intimate, with lots of woodwork, opulent drapes and an open kitchen where you can watch chef/proprietor Allan Little at work.
Scottish ingredients show up well on the menu – witness a signature dish of seared fillet of Ross-shire beef on a bed of local haggis with buttered chestnut mushrooms and roasted shallots topped with spinach purée.
