The Ronnie of the title is Ron Faulkner, self-named chef/proprietor of this buzzy neighbourhood restaurant within the St Mary shopping centre. The action takes place on two floors of a sympathetically renovated seventeenth-century building with beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls festooned with contemporary artwork. Ronnie's has been awarded The Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year 2009.

Ronnie's does duty as a daytime coffee lounge before feeding the local crowd with lively modern food based around judiciously sourced ingredients.
