In 2006, Max and Susan Fischer and their head chef Rupert Rowley from Michelin-starred Baslow Hall ventured into town and opened a bright new venture next to the local church. Rowley's puts on a groovy, contemporary face with vibrant colour schemes and equally eye-catching displays of original work from local artist Hazel Lale.

Impeccably sourced local produce is one of Fischers' trademarks and the same commitment goes into the food served here.
