The fact that the Michelin-starred Royal Oak is jointly owned by chat show supremo Michael Parkinson and his son is enough to attract celeb spotters to this white-painted pub in Paley Street village - just a few miles from Maidenhead. As you might expect, the interior is filled with photographs, TV memorabilia and cricket mementoes; it's a top-drawer destination for fans of live jazz, too.
On the food front, there's also plenty to shout about - thanks to the efforts of high-flyer Dominic Chapman in the kitchen.
