The Russian Tavern at The Port Royal Hotel Review
The location is a centuries-old stone-built Highland village on a tiny island by the shores of Kames Bay - hardly where you would expect to find authentic Russian food and drink on offer. But that's exactly what Olga and Crawford dish up at this curious gastropub attached to the island's Port Royal Hotel.
The whole place is a re-creation of pre-revolutionary Russia with authentic decor, live music and a menu that is based on the creations of French chefs working in nineteenth-century Moscow and St Petersburg.
