A Taste of Sahara Review

A spectacular makeover has transformed this long-running Brighton ethnic restaurant A Taste of Sahara (formerly Tehran) into an exotic venue with voluminous silks billowing from the ceiling, red velvet cushions to sit on, Arabic music playing and the intoxicating perfume of hubble-bubble apple tobacco wafting through the air (a hookah costs £10, if you fancy a puff).

The 60-dish menu includes lots of familiar meze – hummus, baba ganoush, falafel and tabbouleh served with baskets of oven-baked flat bread – plus shish kebabs and authentic tagines jazzed up with sticky prunes, olives and walnuts.
