The Salty Monk Review
In a former life, this delightful restaurant-with-rooms was a salt house used by the Benedictine monks who traded salt at Exeter cathedral. It's an atmospheric 400-year-old dwelling within easy reach of Sidmouth and the famous 'Byes' which lead down to the sea.
The dining room is done out in genteel 'country house' style and it has the bonus of views over the restaurant's award-winning gardens.
