Saracens at Hadnall Review

Originally a coaching inn, some five miles outside Shrewsbury, this Grade II-listed building has been transformed into a smart, stylish restaurant-with-rooms by new incumbents Allison and Ben Christie. The original pub bar has been turned into a comfortable lounge with luxury leather sofas and a blazing log fire, and there are a two separate dining areas as well as a pretty courtyard garden.

Light meals and sandwiches are offered at lunchtime, but the big event is dinner.
