A bold, yellow-painted brick exterior marks out Scutchers, a lively country restaurant in one of Suffolk's most historic and most visited towns. Parts of the original building date back to the fifteenth century and it was a local pub in an earlier life.
These days, smartness and rural simplicity go hand in hand, and the décor mixes pine furniture and bold primary colours with old beams, standing timbers and alcoves on different levels.
