Built by the 'earl of the manor' in 1822, this fine old building stands proudly in a little coastal village right on the doorstep of the famous Seafield Estate. Current owners Alison and Herbert Cox have transformed it into a convivial hotel that now rates as one of the most popular boltholes in the area.
The kitchen is renowned for its Cullen skink (a traditional soup made with smoked haddock and potatoes), and it also serves up other 'old favourites' such as braised lamb shank on champ mash and sticky toffee pudding.
