Severnshed Review

Housed in an old boatshed built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, this venue really stands out from the crowd, with its original gabled roof and wrought-iron girders, expanses of contemporary stainless steel, marble and hand-crafted wooden tables. It also boasts a remarkable innovation – Europe's only floating bar, which can rotate through 360 degrees or glide down the length of the building.

Severnshed also pulls the crowds with one of the most sought-after al-fresco terraces in the city: it's a gold-standard meeting place, with the bonus of glorious views over the narrowboats on the quayside towards St Mary Redcliffe church.

The food matches the cosmopolitan mood on the place and the kitchen has made its reputation with a strong commitment to all things organic.
