Shanghai Blues Review

An austere carved stone arch marks the entrance to Shanghai Blues a Chinese restaurant in the old St Giles Library on High Holborn. The interior has been given a £2.5 million makeover and now looks mightily impressive:hand-painted Shanghai silk awnings adorn the three dining rooms, the floors are of Paduk wood and the baby-blue leather chairs were upholstered in Italy.

Chef Hong Qiu Feng cooked for the Chinese government before arriving in London and he has quickly established Shanghai Blues as a high-end dim sum venue.
