Shanghai Dalston Review

Originally one of the most famous eel-and-pie houses in East London, run in Dalston for many years by Fred and Chris Cooke, this is now Shanghai a Chinese restaurant dealing in regional cuisine. The Grade-II listed building retains its ornate and meticulously preserved turn-of-the-century frontage, and there are still oak booths, marble slabs and mirrors etched with eel motifs at the front of the restaurant.
