A sedate-looking Georgian residence built around 1740, Sherbourne House stands on the outskirts of Attleborough within easy reach of Norwich and the Brecklands. It's now a privately run, country house hotel with facilities for conferences and weddings and even has its own catering service.

Dinner is the main event, and the kitchen makes good use of local produce, including Norfolk beef and shellfish from the coast.
