The cheffing duo of Carol and Matthew Vernan worked in the Michelin-starred kitchen of Plas Bodegroes, Pwllheli before moving a few miles down the road to this village inn on the tip of the Llyn Peninsula. This is very much a tourist and wildlife hotspot, within easy reach of Bardsey Island and nearby bird sanctuaries.
The food here has a pronounced local accent and the Vernans have a feel for native ingredients.
