Mother of the house Mrs Lim holds sway in the kitchen, producing classic hawker-style dishes including bowls of thick laksa soup packed with prawns, a good selection of genuine noodle specialities (fried kway teow, for example), satays and beef rendang – not forgetting that quintessential Singaporean classic, chilli crab.
