A breath of fresh air for Newcastle's vegetarians and vegans (and others who simply enjoy inventive food and exotic flavours), the Sky Apple Café is a good humoured, easy-going place. It should come as no surprise that it attracts a happy crew of students, young families, office girls and suited types.

Self-styled 'Vegetarian Chef' Andy Young cooked at The Gate and Blah, Blah, Blah in London before heading north to Tyneside.
