Skylon Review

Skylon occupies what was the People's Palace at the Southbank Centre and is the first new opening from D&D London (formerly Conran Restaurants), it's named after the iconic Powell and Moya sculpture that shared the limelight with the old Royal Festival Hall during the 1951 Festival of Britain, . The whole place has been miraculously transformed with muted colour schemes, a bronze-clad bar and David Mellor cutlery (circa 1953), plus floor-to-ceiling windows providing unmatchable views of the Thames.

Helena Poulakka came here from the Fifth Floor at Harvey Nick's and her food is already getting noticed.
