Discreetly located in the shadow of The Gherkin tower, Soseki is a new venture from Caroline Bennett, founder of the groundbreaking Moshi Moshi sushi chain. Taking its name from Japan's favourite novelist, Natsume Soseki, it's an evocation of an old-style Taisho-period tea house complete with partitioned areas, tatami mats, kimono tables and 1920s antiques imported from Kyoto, plus a small bar and sushi counter.
