Set in a village some three miles from Alton, the delightful Star Inn can trace it history back to 1834. It still looks good today, with vibrant floral displays outside during the summer months and open fires blazing in the beamed bar when the weather closes in.

Landlady Karen Williams runs the kitchen, and her steak and kidney pie is a best seller.
