Established in 1988 in the very heart of Crystal Palace's thriving restaurant enclave, Tamnag Thai continues to go from strength to strength. The interior is exotically done out with lots of colourful ethnic artefacts, carvings, prints and flowers, and the menu rings true.
The list of starters moves from satays and dumplings to sizzling chilli beef and special taro and rice hot pot packed with good things; elsewhere on the menu, look for green mango salad with shrimps, fragrant steamed sea bass with homemade chilli and garlic sauce, or dry-cooked panang curry.
