The Todmorden Vintner Review
It may be close to the centre of town, but this lofty Grade II-listed Elizabethan manor house looks every inch like the historic country retreat. It has all the architectural trappings you might expect from such a place: dark carved wood, mullioned windows, weathered stonework, sumptuous fabrics. It's also substantial enough to accommodate three dining rooms.
The kitchen takes a slightly more modern view of things, gleaning ideas from near and far and making the best use of local and global ingredients.
