As its name suggests, this fine hotel overlooking Windsor Castle is the amalgam of two ancient medieval hostelries, the White Harte and the Garter Inn. The 'Jacobean-style' building was recently given a serious makeover, which has enhanced many of its original features and boosted its facilities.

The new Tower Brasserie makes a pleasing backdrop for food with a strong European slant.
