It's likely that The Trouble House an unassuming Cotswold pub got its current name as a result of some bother during the Civil War, and it was also the scene of agricultural riots during the Luddite Rebellion. These days, things are much more peaceful, and the place earns its reputation thanks to top-notch food, drink and personal hospitality.
The cosy interior still looks the part as a proper village hostelry, complete with big black beams over its crooked ceiling, log fires, country cottage artefacts and bare tables.
