Ubiquitous Chip Review

A bastion of the Glasgow restaurant scene for more than three decades, the Chip just keeps on rolling. Owner Ronnie Clydesdale who sadly died in April 2010 was a champion of Scottish produce and did much over the years to put it right back on the gastronomic map.

You can choose to eat among the vines and greenery in the spectacular white-walled courtyard (complete with its own trickling pool) or in the main dining room, which is brightened up by colourful murals from artist/writer Alasdair Gray.
