For more than 20 years, the Floodlite was a beacon in Masham, but in summer 2005 David Flood decided to swap the kitchen for the garden and turned off the power (in a manner of speaking!).

Enter John Vennell, a savvy chef who made his name at Haley's in Leeds. The new regime started to generate rave reviews, and the cooking certainly made a real impact.
