The Wallace Collection's stunning glass-roofed courtyard – the Sculpture Garden – is the enviable location for Oliver Peyton's self-styled 'brasserie de luxe'. Here, visitors sit and relaxe under hand-embroidered, silk-fringed parasols among pretty camellias and Japanese maples. 'If the museum is romantic, its restaurant is positively tryst-tastic,' drooled The Independent's reviewer.
Given that the Collection is given over to classic Gallic art, furniture and objets d'art, it should come as no surprise that the food has a French twang.
