Water House Review

Following the success of Acorn House, James Grainger-Smith and Arthur Potts Dawson have upped their eco-game with the opening of Water House alongside the Regent's Canal in north Hoxton. Like the King's Cross original, this is a restaurant driven by über-green environmental principles: everything is carefully planned, worked through and convincing, from the furnishings and hydro-carbon fridges to the wormery and composters for transforming waste.

The whole set-up makes much of harnessing renewable hydro-electric power from the waters of the canal, with the latest pump technology driving the heating and cooling systems.
