In 2003, Beth Coventry set about applying her talents to this renowned Hampstead pub restaurant The Wells Tavern, peeling back and revealing its classic Georgian façade. Since then, this chic venue has garnered a fistful of awards and it remains a favourite with crowds of heath walkers and locals.
Tables and sofas fill the traditional bar on the ground floor, where real ales are on tap and the menu includes plates of chorizo with red pepper and gherkins, cod fishcakes, the Wells classic burgers and a few flashier dishes like grilled tuna steak with peperonata and deep-fried polenta.
