This one-time coaching inn has stood in the heart of Whitby for more than three centuries, and it has gradually developed into a popular hotel/restaurant serving the needs of locals and visitors alike. Inside, there are three dining areas, all done out in distinctive style.

The kitchen aims to please all-comers, offering 'power breakfasts' (non-residents are more than welcome), as well as a 'fast track' menu of standards like cod and chips or chilli con carne.
