The team behind the stylish Metro Bar & Grill venues in Birmingham and Solihull have now turned their attention to pubs, and have given this Warwickshire watering hole a contemporary wash-and-brush up. Leather tub chairs, neutral colour schemes, modern art, mirrors and chenille window seats are the order of the day, and the pub also has its own Wacky Warehouse (indoor play building) for young kids.
Baguettes and light dishes are served in the bar, but the full menu spreads its wings for an eclectic mix of no-frills pub grub and brasserie-style dishes ranging from prawn cocktail, fish pie and lasagne to spicy lamb koftas with hummus and tzatziki, tuna niçoise and spit-roast corn-fed chicken with honey, soy and ginger.
