A rambling, family-run inn just off junction 13 of the M5, the Whitminster is a custom-built complex serving the needs of travellers, tourists exploring the Cotswolds and those looking for a wedding or conference venue (it has its own marquee for outdoor bashes).
The main restaurant offers broadly based international food and grills from a menu that might list French onion soup laced with cognac, braised lamb shank, Cajun-spiced chicken breast and pork steak with black pudding and glazed apple, followed by treacle sponge pudding or chocolate truffle torte.
