Glasgow's only rooftop restaurant sits high up on the seventh floor of the luxurious Carlton George Hotel and offers unrivalled panoramic vistas of the cityscapes all around. The dining room is relaxed and there's always a great buzz, which adds to the pleasure of the food.
Menus are changed every four weeks and the kitchen makes admirable use of Scottish produce for a repertoire of modern dishes along the lines of pan-fried fillet of salmon on spiced potato wedges with red pepper chutney and char-grilled lamb cutlets served on creamed spinach mash, while desserts might include deep-fried vanilla ice cream with apple and pear compote and cinnamon crème anglaise.
