Ye Olde Gate Inne Review

'Well-off-the-beaten-track' (to put it mildly!), 'The Gate' is reached via lonely roads with nothing but the hills of the Peak District on either side. Even so, walkers regularly rest up here after trekking along the High Peak Trail.

Part of the allure is the pub's untarnished atmosphere: you feel that not a great deal has changed since the seventeenth century, when the place first opened its doors.
