Straddling England and Wales, on the main road between Shrewsbury and Montgomery, the 300-year-old Sun Inn stands proudly at the top of the village and makes an ideal pit-stop for travellers, sightseers and walkers trekking the Offas Dyke trail.

New owners the Gartell family run the place with bags of enthusiasm: Jean and Sally take care of business out front, while Peter and son Dominic man the kitchen.
