Situated just over a mile from York's historic city walls, this elegant Grade-II listed Georgian country mansion was once the family home of businessman and entrepreneur Xavier Prendergast (who brought the Beatles to York in the 60s). It now plies its trade as an up-to-the-minute hotel/restaurant and conference venue.

Meals are served in the light airy surroundings of Langtons Brasserie, with its wood floors, rattan chairs and picture windows overlooking the grounds.
