Zucca is a welcome addition to the Bermondsey restaurant scene serving modern Italian food. Opened in 2010 by chef, proprietor Sam Harris a former River Café employee, it has already been awarded a Bib Gourmand in the new Michelin Guide. The canteen style setting has a minimalist décor with shiny white tables and chairs, large pictures on the walls, all overlooked by the open plan kitchen.
The emphasis of the kitchen is on quality ingredients, simply cooked, well presented and at very reasonable prices, so it's no wonder that the restaurant is extremely busy.
