As with the rest of Yorkshire the South offers not only wonderful and diverse countryside but modern, cosmopolitan and vibrant cities. Sheffield is England's fourth largest city renowned for its many woodlands and parks while the Peak District National Park is on the doorstep. Sheffield was Britain's first National City of Sport and boasts some of the best international sports venues in the country. The Crucible Theatre, Crucible Studio and Lyceum Theatre, form the largest theatrical complex outside London.
