West Lothian lies to the West of Edinburgh and has many attractions. There is a wealth of historic monuments, museums, parks and beautiful hills. Livingstone is home to the McArthur Glen designer outlet, a retail centre which attracts millions of visitors each year while Linlithgow still has a traditional high street with small shops and boutiques.

Linlithgow was once the favoured home of Scottish Royalty but today the Palace lies in ruins, although, as the county town Linlithgow retains its old world charm and hosts some excellent restaurants.
